Outplacement is the process of finding a suitable job that fits within your current skills, interests and financial status. Our favorite example of outplacement would be a person who has completed their degree and is searching for work. They might also be eligible to receive outplacement services such as resume writing, job hunting support, or career counseling while they are on the outplacement process.

Factors that affects the outplacement pricing

  1. The wealth position of the employee

The wealth position of the employee has a direct impact on the outplacement pricing. There are different ranges of wealth positions, depending upon the source of wealth. This will also affect the outplacement pricing. The reason for different ranges is because there is a significant difference between individuals with different positions in their life cycle and even with changing economic status’s in one’s life cycle. The outlier here is when talking about pre-retirement which is when an individual has most of their lifetime to live in hopes that they would be able to save up enough money where they are able to live off the savings instead of having to continue working at a job

There is a difference in the job markets because there are different criteria that must be met by the outplacement company. When it comes to outplacement services, the company must have a rating system and when an employee negotiates with the company on their pricing, it will affect these rating systems. It is possible for outplacement services to price at an odd rate than another individual’s because of these rating systems in place.

This is where most of the pricing difference can be found between individuals. The salary and benefits package will impact how long an employee stays with the company and if they stay, how much money they make per year. The outplacement pricing is usually aligned with what is being offered in the job market.

The impact of the location is an indirect impact on the pricing. The further away an individual is from the job market, then it will cost that employee more money to be placed within a company than someone who is closer to that job market. This could also affect their ratings systems which in turn will affect their outplacement pricing.

There is a great difference between industries when it comes to outplacement pricing because of the nature of those industries. The valuation of this industry can change with what they are offering even though they may be offering similar services as another company that charges a different rate for similar services in another industry or job market.

The level of the job has a lot to do with how much money is being made by the individual during their employment in that company and how long they have been employed. There are also other factors that help determine outplacement pricing such as if they have stayed at the same job and worked their way up.
